 This is supposed to be an exciting time where you embrace your adulthood and independence, but instead you’re feeling insecure, anxious, and lost. You’re questioning every decision you make and really don’t trust that you know what you’re doing. There’s pressure to establish who you are, what you want, and where you’re going. It’s almost easier to avoid everyone and hide. You’re stressed and unhappy and don’t know how to break out of it.

 My Approach to Treatment for Young Adults

Initial Phase/Assessment: During this phase, we will work together to identify your concerns and life experiences that have brought you here. We will establish your personal goals and create a plan to help you reach them.

Middle Phase: Each of these sessions will help address your current struggles, gain insight into unhealthy patterns, and issues of identify and self-worth. These sessions will involve educating you on the problems you are facing, exploring and challenging unhelpful thought/behavior patterns, and teaching you practical skills and strategies to see relief in your life. Here you will be challenged to identify personal life goals and take active steps to get where you want to be.

Final Phase/Maintenance: We will identify your progress and satisfaction with the goals you have met in treatment. We will review the healthier habits you’ve learned and will continue to implement in your life. We will celebrate a more confident and happier you. You’ll have the option to reduce frequency of sessions and/or terminate after your final 1-2 sessions.
